Can Google Assistant listen to your conversations?

How to stop Google Assistant from listening

You need to disable the activation word on your device to stop Google Assistant from listening to you. To do so:

  1. Open the Google app > Settings.
  2. Select Google > Account Services > Search, Assistant & Voice > Voice.
  3. Go to Voice Match and toggle off Hey Google to disable the assistant from listening to you.
